Shopify is the go-to ecommerce platform at the moment. It is affordable, performs well and can be as little or as much as you need it to be. It isn’t perfect, but it does the job for most people most of the time.

BigCommerce used to be the next best choice and for a lot of people was preferred over Shopify. In early 2022 they started moving away from small to medium-sized businesses though leaving many to move now before they were pushed out.

Ask around and almost everyone who claims to be i n the know will tell you that Woocommerce is the only way to add ecommerce to WordPress. Boy are they wrong. Newly released SureCart is a great choice and should be your first stop.
